Were you given a wristband by a friend, a family member, or maybe even a stranger on the street? I hope it spoke love to you. I hope you were reminded, or perhaps learned for the first time, that the God of all creation, sees you, knows you, and YES, even has good plans in store for you.

You see, when I was 11 years old, my big brother Britt was killed by a drunk driver. Just a few months before that he had discovered that God had good plans for him. He asked God's son, Jesus, into his life, to forgive him for his sin and to become his Savior. He felt forgiven and free, and lived the last few months of his life with a love and passion for Jesus. When he died, the church where he had accepted Jesus came around our family, loved and served us and introduced my mom, dad, sister and me to this Jesus as well. I was told that God had good plans for me too. Each of us accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, and experienced the same forgiveness and freedom that Britt had received. That change in me set my life on a new course... A life of love, of service, compassion, freedom and more fun than I could have ever imagined! Life following after Jesus is not a boring life. It IS life. And life to the fullest.

Do you want to experience Forgiveness & Freedom?

If you want Jesus to reside in you, pray this simple prayer, accepting God's free gift of eternal salvation...

God thank you for sending your son, to die for my sins. Please forgive me for the things that I have done, said, or thought, that you wouldn't want for me. Jesus please come into my life and make me new again. Teach me through the Bible, prayer, friends, and your church, how to know you better. I want to be more like you. I give you my life, and ask you to show me how to live and how to love like you do. It's in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

With that one prayer, you have chosen Jesus as your Savior! You are a follower of Jesus, a Christian, a new creation. The past is behind you, your life ahead belongs to God, and your future is sealed for Eternity.

Next steps: Don't go it alone! Tell someone about this huge life decision you've made, and let them walk this Christian life with you. Get a Bible and read the book of James. There are only 5 chapters and they are full of practical life lessons. Following that, get to know the life of Jesus by reading Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. God's word sharpens us, comforts us, and is given to us as a tool to help navigate the challenges of life. I desire that you will travel this life well with God's help, so that you can live out that great purpose that God has planned for you. Jesus loves you and so do I!
